Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
Scalable Growth LLC (“Scalable Growth,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Once. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, share, retain, and protect information when you use the Once app and related services.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Once app, its current features, and services introduced through app updates. It distinguishes the processing performed by Once 1.0 from optional cloud features that may be introduced later. Where consent is required, Once will rely on the choices you make in the app and in iOS Settings.
2. Information We May Process
Once 1.0 processes photos, videos, albums, dates, locations, captions, filenames, technical metadata, and other information available through the photo-library access you grant on your device. Once 1.0 does not transmit your photo or video content to Scalable Growth or an AI provider. Apple and our billing provider may process subscription and transaction status needed to offer and restore purchases. Optional future services may also process account or contact details, device and app information, diagnostics, usage events, support communications, and content or preferences you provide, as disclosed when those services become available.
3. How We May Use Information
Once may use information to operate, maintain, secure, personalize, and improve the service; let you review, organize, search, rediscover, favorite, share, or delete media; understand patterns in your life and experiences; create summaries, insights, recommendations, and reports; tell stories from your memories; and arrange or transform media into collections, highlights, narratives, or videos. We may also use information to provide support, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with law, and communicate about the service.
4. Automated and Cloud Processing
Once 1.0 does not upload your photos or videos for cloud or AI analysis. Optional future features may automatically select and analyze content within the photo-library access you grant, without requiring you to select each item individually, to create reports, insights, stories, collections, highlights, narratives, or videos. Before a feature first transmits photos, videos, metadata, analysis results, or derived information to Once's servers, an AI provider, or another cloud provider, Once will describe the data, purpose, and relevant retention terms and request your explicit permission. Granting general photo-library access or accepting this policy alone does not enable a future cloud upload.
5. Service Providers and Other Disclosures
Once uses providers for billing and may use providers for cloud hosting, storage, artificial intelligence, analytics, customer support, security, and media processing when the relevant optional service is enabled. Providers are required to protect information and use it only to perform contracted services, except where law requires otherwise. Information may also be disclosed to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, complete a merger or business transfer, or at your direction. Once does not sell personal photos or videos.
6. AI Model Training
Once will not use your personal photos or videos to train general-purpose AI models, or permit service providers to use them for their own model training, unless you separately opt in. This restriction does not prevent processing that is necessary to provide a feature you request, maintain security, or evaluate service reliability using appropriately protected data.
7. Retention and Deletion
Once retains information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the service, maintain content you ask Once to create, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Once 1.0 does not retain your photo or video content in Once-operated cloud storage. Any optional future cloud feature will disclose its relevant retention and deletion terms before upload. Deleting the app or revoking photo access may not automatically delete information you previously chose to store through such a cloud feature; available features will provide controls to delete created content or request deletion of associated cloud data.
8. Security
Once uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and Once cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices and Rights
iOS may let you grant Full or Limited photo-library access, and you can change or revoke access in iOS Settings. Once's random-library review currently requires Full Access. Future cloud or personalization features will remain optional and can be declined without disabling the local review experience. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent for future processing. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed. Requests may be submitted through the support contact listed on Once's App Store page or within the app when available.
10. Children
Once is not directed to children below the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11. International Processing
Once and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, Once will use recognized safeguards for international data transfers.
12. Changes to This Policy
Once may update this policy as the service evolves. The current version will be available in the app and through the App Store listing. Before a change materially expands how personal information is processed, Once will provide additional notice and request renewed agreement or feature-specific permission where required.
